Turkey in Pictures

Photos of Turkey

A little bit over a year ago, I was traversing Turkey.  I learned a great deal from traveling through Turkey and I will always remember my time there.  Turkey is an amazing country with a beautiful landscape and an even more colorful history.  Turkey is a perfect blend of European and Islamic cultures with noticeable influences from both cultures.  While traveling through Turkey, I was able to visit Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Ephesus.  Below are just a few of the pictures of Turkey that I took while traveling.  If you ever get the chance, I definitely recommend a visit to Turkey.

Turkey was a big surprise for me.  I really had no idea what to expect before traveling there. As I was in the area, I was more than happy to visit the country.  Turkey well exceeded my expectations and changed my opinion of the region at-large.

If you would like to read more information on Turkey, I have some tips in the country guide section of my site.  For more information about Turkey, please click here.

I also made a video compilation of some photos and video footage of Turkey.  If you’d like to see more of Turkey.  Check out my videos on YouTube.

  3. It is a really cool place, there are lots of things to see. I really enjoyed the country side as well. 2 weeks is definitely not enough. I like your pictures they came out good!

  4. Ok so I’m super late in commenting lol but I just saw the link on twitter. I’ve been to Turkey twice and I’d go back again. I feel like Istanbul gets kinda lost in the hype of other major European cities which is unfortunate to say the least. The Hagia Sophia is easily one of my favourite places to have ever visited too. Anyways, the pictures where a nice reminder of it all 🙂
