The 65th edition of the Feria Nacional de Artesanías de Barranquitas runs Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 19, 2026, in the Plaza de Recreo Monseñor Miguel A. Mendoza. Puerto Rico’s oldest artisan fair returns for three days of craft, música típica, a road race, and food in the central mountains, organized as always by the Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña and the Centro Cultural Luis Muñoz Rivera as the centerpiece of the Mes del Artesano y Artesana.

How to visit
- Drive, and leave early. Barranquitas is about 90 minutes from San Juan on winding mountain roads. Fair-weekend parking near the plaza fills up, so an early start pays off.
- Bring cash. Many artisans are cash-only, and mountain signal is unreliable for card readers and ATMs alike.
- Dress for both. Hot and sunny in the plaza by day, cooler once the evening concerts start.
- Make a day of it. The Casa Museo Luis Muñoz Rivera and the mausoleum are steps from the plaza and open during the fair.
